Yap

Yap is een schitterende en nog vrij onbekende deelstaat van Micronesië dat aan de ene kant grenst aan de Filipijnse Zee en aan de andere kant aan de Pacifische Oceaan. De vier eilanden worden omringd door een koraalrif en je vindt er veel mangrove bossen, oerwoud en kleine baaien met witte zandstranden. De legendarische cultuur van Yap nodigt uit tot een nadere kennismaking. Wekelijks worden er excursies naar afgelegen dorpen en stammen georganiseerd, een absolute aanrader! Daarnaast is een kanotocht meer dan de moeite waard.
